Stability, then transformation.
True and lasting change takes time. It’s incremental and must be built on a strong foundation.
The New Life Plan is carefully designed in Six Phases that start with establishing stability. Each Phase is clearly explained and serves as a guide for clients, service providers, partner organizations, donors and volunteers.
The New Life Plan was developed based on our experience of working with the homeless for more than 60 years. Based on Christian beliefs and sound social science, it offers a clear path to employment and eventual home ownership.
We require our clients to commit to the New Life Plan, which can take up to two years to complete.
We know that many of the circumstances that can lead to poverty and homelessness begin with adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) such as trauma and chronic stress. We have created the New Life Plan to help those who find themselves homeless rebuild their lives, break destructive patterns, and build resilience to overcome personal struggles and hardships.
